Start your one-day Guwahati tour with a visit to the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India. Perched atop the Nilachal Hill, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya and is a hub for Hindu pilgrims. Start early at around 7:00 - 8:00 to avoid long queue in the temple. Take a short break for lunch at a nearby restaurant and savor the flavors of traditional cuisine. • After that immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Assam at the Assam State Museum. The museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts, sculptures, and manuscripts that depict the state's history from ancient times to the colonial era. It's a must-visit for history buffs. Post that visit Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden which is spread across an area of 432 acre and spot various animals and reptiles. It also facilitate a beautiful children park. Duration: 2 hour (approx.) * The botanical garden is closed every Friday.
