Day Tour
Start your one-day Guwahati tour with a visit to 🍀the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India. Perched atop the Nilachal Hill, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya and is a hub for Hindu pilgrims. Start early at around 7:00 – 8:00 to avoid long queue in the temple.
Duration: 3-4 hours (approx.)
* Later you can visit the Peacock Island, located in the middle of the
Brahmaputra River. Take a short ferry ride to the island and visit the ancient
🍀Umananda Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Duration: 1-2 hours (approx.)
Note: Alternatively you can visit 🍀Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden instead of Peacock Island.
* Post that enjoy ropeway ride in the 🍀Brahmaputra river. During the ride you can enjoy impressive aerial view of the mighty Brahmaputra river.
Duration: 1 hours (approx.)
* Ropeway remains closed on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month.
* Take a short break for lunch at a nearby restaurant and savor the flavors of traditional cuisine.
* After that immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Assam at the 🍀Assam State Museum. The museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts, sculptures, and manuscripts that depict the state’s history from ancient times to the colonial era. It’s a must-visit for history buffs. Duration: 1-2 hours (approx.)
Note: The Museum is open to public from 10 AM to 5 P.M on all days except Monday, 2nd and 4th Saturday of a month and Govt. holidays.
* Post that visit 🍀Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden which is spread across an area of 432 acre and spot various animals and reptiles. It also facilitate a beautiful children park.
Duration: 2 hour (approx.)
* The botanical garden is closed every Friday. It is open for public from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M.
* Due to time constraints, you can choose to visit either the Umananda Temple or the Assam State Zoo.
* After a splendid tour we drop you at your hotel in the evening and conclude this wonderful tour.
